Korea Preview

For the 12th round of the 2013 Formula Simracing season we are heading to Yeongam in South Korea, a rather new venue to the FSR Calendar with only the 2nd race held here it´s still one of the blank spots of the Precision Motorsports calendar as last year the best positions were 2nd in both the World Series and World Championship. The track is challenging for both the setup and drivers skills with long straights leading into hairpins and a flowing final sectors with lots of downforce required. Coming from Suzuka where the team had a mixed weekend, despite securing the World Championship Constructors Championship for the 4th year in a row unlucky circumstances cost the team a lot of ground in the World Series Championship. However the car showed great pace and with less bad luck the team will be able to produce great results once again.

The primary focus will be on the World Series Championship, where a very close title fight is emerging with the championship leaders tied on points and p3 only 15 points behind. Also the fight for P2 in the World Championship team standings is still going for GT Omega Racing, with 42 points separating 2nd from 3rd. Also Cyril Werdmuller will celebrate a Milestone in his career competing in his 100th World Series race this weekend.

Track History:
With only a race held here in 2012, the history here is equally short. Bono Huis finished 2nd in the World Championship after starting from the back of the Grid. Jack Keithley also finished 2nd in the World Series. However Ivar Kalamees, now driving for Precision Motorsports won both the World Series and World Championship race in 2012.

The World Series race starts on Saturday at 20:00 CET and the World Championship on Sunday, 19:00 CET."
